Aoife was an amazing celebrant! She was a celebrant at our friends wedding and we knew we would be in safe hands with her. We really wanted our ceremony to be unique and special and Aoife guided us every step of the way. Aoife supported us to ensure we involved all our friends and family in ceremony pieces. Our wedding day was on July 12th at the absolutely stunning Mountainview with Aoife Hurley as our celebrant. We had a great evening with Aoife a few months before the ceremony where she sat with us both to listen to our story! And wow did she capture it so well! From the very start of the ceremony when Aoife introduced us both and told our story there wasnt a dry eye in the house. Aoife gave us lots of very cool ideas to use in the ceremony that suited us so well as a couple and a family of 4 and showed how much she listened to what we wanted our day to be about. I couldn’t imagine the day without Aoife being a part of it. The ceremony she conducted was personal, beautiful, funny and emotional. All of our guests were blown away by just how lovely the whole ceremony was from start to finish and raved about the brilliant celebrant. She spent the time before the ceremony reassuring my anxious groom and keeping the vibe relaxed and happy. Before I walked down the aisle she came outside to hold my hand and make sure I was ready to start, which was such a lovely touch and nearly made me cry all over again! The amazing Aoife was our celebrant on the 15th June. After the first video call with Aoife early on in the process we knew straight away she was the celebrant for us. Her attention to detail and genuine enthusiasm to get to know us and our story was apparent from the very beginning. Planning our very personal ceremony with Aoife was an absolute pleasure. Aoife was always available to answer any questions and had loads of ideas and information that was so helpful in picking the elements, readings etc. for the ceremony along with being totally open to some admittedly weird ideas we also had. After meeting Aoife in person to prepare the final ceremony we were both completely relaxed and confident in knowing Aoife had everything under control which was exactly how it was on the day. The perfect blend of warmth, humour and love which our friends and family are still talking about!!

We got married last month and had Aoife as our celebrant. She came highly recommended from a work colleague who’s sister had her also and honestly we were blown away by how amazing she was! From our first interaction Aoife made us feel relaxed about the ceremony. My husband was worried a humanist cermony would be very “off the wall” but thanks to Aoife we had a very personal, funny yet slightly traditional ceremony. We first came across the Spiritual Ceremonies website in late 2021 when we were looking for a celebrant for our wedding. After reading all the lovely reviews that were written about her by other newlyweds, we wanted to meet with Aoife Hurley…and we were not disappointed! From the first time we met her over Zoom we knew she was the perfect person to officiate our wedding. Aoife was so warm and friendly…no question was too small or silly. We felt at ease immediately with all the arrangements for our big day.

We met closer to the day to go through the all the details for our ceremony, and spent a lovely evening with Aoife as she sought to hear all about ourselves and our story. As a result, Aoife put together a wonderful ceremony that captured us so perfectly. Aoife delivered the ceremony with such warmth, sincerity and sense of fun…it honestly felt like it was being officiated by one of our close friends. Full five stars and more if we could. Absolutely loved that Aoife married us last Saturday, 22/10/22 in an outdoor ceremony in Station House Hotel, in Kilmessan. She is just so so friendly, professional, funny, easy going, we feel like we really clicked and connected with her. She really put us at ease, made our ceremony what it was, one that was heart felt and personable. We loved every minute of it, and all of our guests when they left the Turntable (where the ceremony was held) and we greeted them as they came out, were all simply raving about it and her, some even said it was the best ceremony they’d ever been at, which is unbelievably high praise indeed. For us, there’s nothing about it we would have changed, it was perfect, not least of which during the whole ceremony we also had a visit from two butterflies (in October!). With v close relatives that have passed on, it had extremely special meaning. We didn’t see them with our backs turned, but Aoife understood the significance and made sure to tell us about (as did so many others later on). It really meant something. Thank you Aoife!!

We had our wedding ceremony in April with Aoife Hurley. We really could not recommend this truly lovely celebrant highly enough. We first met Aoife when she was celebrant for my sisters ceremony in September 2020 and instantly knew we wanted her to be at ours. She was so easy to talk to and by the time we had our wedding Aoife was not a stranger to us but more of a friend. She kept us both calm on the day & made our day so personal, the amount of comments we received from friends and family about the ceremony blew us away! We had Aoife Hurley marry us in Feb 2022 in Kilcullen. It was over 2 years from the day we met Aoife to the day we got married because of the postponements due to covid. During that time Aoife was amazing and we feel very honoured to say that during those two years we not only met our celebrant but gained a great friend.

During the build up to the wedding, Aoife helped us to create the ceremony that was perfect for us. She met with us a few times to go through bits and pieces. Of all the questions and queries we had (of which there were many), Aoife was on hand to help out and nothing appeared to be too much trouble for her.

For the ceremony, Aoife was absolutely outstanding. It was everything we wanted and more. Every one of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed it, how special it felt and that Aoife created a ceremony that really “got us”. So much so that several people told us they were going to renew their vows and ask Aoife to perform the ceremony.

Aoife officiated our wedding on the 12th November and couldn’t have been more amazing. From the very first video chat with Aoife when we first booked our wedding, we knew we had made the right choice. Aoife is great craic, friendly and approachable whilst always being her amazing professional self. Aoife was brilliant and sent us sample ceremony booklets, to give us some ideas on readings and what we wanted to include in our ceremony, this was so helpful. A couple of weeks before the big day, we met Aoife for a coffee and a chat so we could all get to know each other and this was so lovely and really helped with nerves on the day. Aoife was very kind to send us our ceremony draft in advance, so we could see what she was going to say about us (she did an amazing summary of how we met and our journey together so farm which was great and we enjoyed it so much), which I think was such a lovely touch. On the day itself, Aoife was calm and friendly and delivered the most personable and brilliant ceremony. We were both so at ease and Aoife’s great nature kept the nerves at bay and kept us smiling constantly throughout. Still have guests weeks after our wedding complementing how great the ceremony was. We are so glad we had Aoife marry us, as it made it the more memorable and amazing than we ever imagined. Thanks so much Aoife, hope to cross paths again with you some day.

We found it quite difficult to pick a celebrant but we had a video call with Aoife and within 5 minutes of chatting we knew Aoife was the perfect choice for us. Aoife was very easy going and when we met up for a chat it was like talking to a friend we had known years. She made the ceremony so personal and let us take the lead on what we wanted to include. One of our priorities was to include our twos boys and we did this through the sand ceremony. Everyone commented on the ceremony and how personal it was to us. Our guests even asked did we know Aoife on a personal level. We couldn’t recommend her enough.

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to Aoife Hurley who married us a few weeks ago. Aoife met us for dinner a few weeks before the ceremony and we had such a lovely evening telling her our story and to be honest she was one of the reasons we decided to keep going no matter what and get married in a Pandemic. Through telling her our story she confirmed the whole reason we wanted to be married and we held on to this when our hotel was on lockdown only the week before our wedding date!!!! The service was wonderful and she really understood us as a couple. We could not have wished for more.

We were married at the weekend by the amazing Aoife Hurley. I can not recommend Aoife enough. From the beginning Aoife put us at ease and was always at the end of the phone. Due to Covid our wedding plans changed weekly (and in some cases daily). Aoife was always accommodating despite loads of changes to the planned ceremony start time. Our original ceremony venue did not work out but Aoife came to our rescue and organised for our ceremony to take place in the Spiritual Union of Ireland Sanctuary. Aoife got to know us as a couple and made our ceremony very personal and unforgettable. We will never forget the kindness and compassion shown to us throughout the last couple of months and will be forever grateful to her for being a part of the best day of our lives.

From the moment we met Aoife, I knew she was the right person to marry us. Her relaxed and easy going manner put us both at ease and we had a lovely chilled out chat while she got to know us over a cuppa in a local hotel for our first meet & greet. We wanted to keep things simple with as little stress as possible and she was the lady to keep us that way. Even on the day of the wedding when I forgot to leave the ribbons and readings at the ceremony venue she stayed so calm as she accompanied Billy to get them, I was on the verge of a flap but she kept us calm. Choosing Spiritual ceremonies, in particular Aoife Hurley was undeniably the best decision we made about our wedding. We knew we wanted something custom, personal and unique to us and Aoife completely delivered! It was the most magical ceremony, so sentimental, funny and loving! Everyone, old and young said that it was the best ceremony they had ever been a part of. We were one of the luckier couples that got to have our big day on March 15th – although it was touch and go in the lead up – we are now husband and wife! :) We got married in our venue and looked to Spiritual Ceremonies for a celebrant – drum roll for the amazing Aoife Hurley Registered Solemniser. We had no idea what this involved but Aoife put us at ease straight away. After our meeting, we were so excited for our big day. Aoife made clear it was our day, and the ceremony would reflect that. She listened and produced something so personal and amazing, both us, nor our guests will ever forget it! Given the announcement that occurred three days before our wedding, Aoife was in touch giving us support, advice and letting us know that she is happy to go with whatever decision we make. True to her word, as we decided to go ahead with the wedding, there she was! Aoife really went above and beyond her call of duty. We have had so many great things said about Aoife and the ceremony – one comment being “Where did you find her?!” – well Spiritual Ceremonies is the place and I’d highly recommend them. We got married on New Years Eve 31/12/18 in Killashee NAAS, We decided to go with a spiritual ceremony and chose Spirtual ceremonies – this decision was one of the BEST decisions we ever made!!! Aoife Hurley was our celebrant and we absolutely lucked out in having Aoife to share our special day. From the 1st meeting we had with Aoife she immediately put us at ease, she explained everything and took everything we wanted on-board. Dear Aoife, We just wanted to send a note to say thank you. When deciding on the details for our wedding, we were immediately drawn to the Spiritualist Union of Ireland. As a same sex couple, we weren’t going to have a traditional church wedding but wanted a legally binding ceremony that could be personal and spiritual without being religious. We imagined a lovely ceremony but never dreamed it would be as unique and special as it was with your guidance. You listened carefully when we met to discuss what we wanted. You were able to address all of our concerns confidentially and thoughtfully. We wanted to be as involved as we could in the writing of our ceremony and you gracefully obliged. Once you put together the bones, we really loved getting to add our own touches. Thank you for being always available and quick to answer any questions we had in the lead up to our big day. On the day of the wedding, you were just the calming presence we needed. You kept our guests at ease as they waited for the (just a little late) brides. You reassured Elaine and I and banished our last minute jitters. Most importantly, you crafted an absolutely perfect experience for us and our guests. Our ceremony had laughter and tears, yes – but you also managed to make every single person in the room feel included and engaged in our love story. With your gentle direction, our guests all understood what was happening, even if they hadn’t experienced some of the Spiritualist rituals before. Everyone was at ease, even if they hadn’t been to a wedding outside of a church or to a same sex wedding before ours. All of this was down to your easy confidence, humor and thoughtfulness. On the 17th of September 2016 I had the absolute pleasure of Marrying my Best Friend, I decided to choose Spiritual Ceremonies as they came highly recommended. I was very lucky to have been assigned Aoife Hurley to do our ceremony (at the time of booking Aoife hadn’t even finished her course) but something inside me said Aoife is the one for you. From the time I first made contact with Aoife I knew everything would be perfect on the day, Aoife was punctual, polite very funny and so down to earth and easy going. Aoife made all my fears and nerves disappear. Our wedding was tailored to suit both myself and hubby and of course our 3 small children. Aoife did the sand ceremony too which was so beautiful and held a significant part in our marriage. Aoife was so professional and we were honoured to be her 1st ever wedding that she performed! Spiritual Ceremonies themselves were fantastic from the 1st phone call they assured me we would have someone to marry us as wenonly had 4 months to plan everything and u really need to book a yr or more in advance as these men and women are so good that they are in high demand, and sure doesn’t that say it all.
Kinda like walking into 2 cafés ……. One is empty the other is buzzing with ppl enjoying food and company, which cafe would YOU dine in????!!!!
Without Aoife doing our ceremony I don’t think my day would have been near as special as it was. It made things much easier in the fact that I instantly clicked with Aoife like I’d known her for yrs and yrs. I am pleased to call Aoife a friend now too.
