Becoming a Wedding Celebrant in Ireland

All of our wedding celebrants are members of the Spiritualist Union of Ireland.  They receive extensive professional training which also includes shadowing experienced wedding celebrants.

How to become a wedding celebrant in Ireland

 

There is a growing demand for Spiritual ceremonies throughout Ireland and consequently a growth in demand for celebrants.

Do you want a rewarding and fulfilling career? Have you always loved weddings? Are you good at public speaking? Then becoming a trained and professional Celebrant could be for you!

The Spiritualist Union of Ireland has two different types of wedding celebrant you can become:

1. Officiant

2. Minister

There are criteria set by the Union that elevates a wedding celebrant from that of an Officiant to a Minister.

  • Legally binding Wedding Ceremonies
  • Wedding Blessings
  • Wedding Vow Renewals
  • Civil Partnership Celebration Ceremonies (Northern Ireland only)
  • Celebration of Life Ceremony (Funeral)
