Bellingham Castle in County Louth is just off exit 15 on the M1 near the village of Tallanstown and Castlebellingham. This stunning venue equally marries the aesthetic of old and new in a seamless way. The original castle dates from circa 1660 and is set within the 17 acres of the Bellingham estate and is privately owned by the Corscadden family who also own, Cabra Castle, Markree Castle and Ballyseede Castle so you can be sure that you are in very capable hands because this family’s attention to detail is second to none when it comes to their wedding guests and as such a favourite of Spiritual Ceremonies.

Blackrock castle was built circa 16th century and is home to a variety of public exhibitions. Set just 15 mins from Cork city centre and is equally easily accessible via the Jack Lynch tunnel. Building of the castle commenced circa 1798 and his home to some splendid architectural features including stencils from the famous William Morris. Set near the village of Newmarket on Fergus in the county of Clare Dromoland Castle is an imposing venue set within a 400 acre estate. Steeped in history as the ancestral home of the O’Briens, the kings of Thomond the lineage of this castle goes far back to Brian Boru. Dromoland offers falconry, archery, golf, relaxing lake resposing amongst many other amenities onsite yet also is easily accessible to explore the surrounding countryside and the Cliffs of Moher, a must see location for your special day.
Durrow Castle is set in the town of Durrow in County Laois. This imposing venue is a particular favourite of ours. Built in 1766 it was the private home of the Flower family who later became the Viscount of Ashbrook. This beautiful venue has been lovingly restored by the Stokes family and their wedding team are truly exceptional offering a welcome and attention to detail which is unrivalled. The beautiful walled garden, fabulous florals, lush lawns and forest walks combine to offer a thoroughly unique experience for your wedding day.
Standing on Castle Hill in the town of Enniscorthy this castle was built circa the 13th century and overlooks the river Slaney. This castle is one of the few to offer access to its roof and it’s dungeon and is ideal for an intimate wedding ceremony offering attention to detail with intimacy but not suitable for your wedding reception.
Set in the surrounding wooded landscape of Donegal this idyllic location is home to a five star luxurious 17th century castle. This venue blends history with modernity to ensure each guest feels like royalty with the presidential suites offering private access to the castle tower. Set in the town of Clonegal, county Carlow this castle has a history few can rival. Huntington is notable for many reasons and worth a visit to understand its colourful past. The descents of the the original family still live in the castle which is also open for guided tours. Huntington is home to the temple of the goddess which is found in the basement of Huntington and is a religion created by Olivia Robertson and her brother Lawrence (Derry) to promote the divine feminine and boasts a membership encompassing thousands. Huntington also holds an ancient yew tree walk which is a spectacular location for your wedding ceremony.
Johnstown castle in county Wexford is located just 10 minutes drive from Wexford town. Originally occupied by the Esmonde family circa 1170 before being confiscated during the Cromwellian period. Johnstown estate is famed for its ornamental gardens designed by Daniel Robertson who also designed the famous Powerscourt Estate in Enniskerry. The castle itself is no longer open to the public so no more weddings occur on site however wedding Photographs can be taken onsite when pre-booked in advance for a nominal fee. The castle and estate are now owned by an Teagasc the department of agriculture.
Knappogue castle in county Clare is located just outside Quin village and just 15 miles from Shannon airport. This castle boasts many unique locations to say I Do such as the outdoor walled garden, the formal rose garden, St Mark’s chapel, Clancullen Hall or the MacNamara room. All the above offer a spectacular setting for your wedding ceremony let alone your wedding photography.
Set beyond the village of Ballyfarnon, in Boyle Roscommon the picturesque Castle was once home to a royal family the Tenison’s who occupied the castle and its 40 acres estate for over 300 years. The castle fell into disrepair in their absence and was subsequently purchased in 2006 by father and son Albert and Alan Hanly who have lovingly restored it to its present glory. For the ultimate fairytale experience this venue is ideal.
Located amidst the Slieve bloom mountains Kinnitty Castle offers unrivalled opulence at the heart of Ireland. This enchanting castle was initially destroyed in 1209 only to be rebuilt in 1213 and was subject to many revenovations over the years. The castle stands today in true glory and hosts a variety of leisure activities for your weddings guests to undertake such as equestrian pursuits, clay pigeon and game shooting, fishing and walking in the beautiful surroundings. A privately owned historic castle and walled garden Luttrellstown castle is located near the village of Castleknock in Dublin and easily accessible from Dublin airport and surrounding areas. As this is such a high end venue discretion is something they pride themselves on. The Luttrell’s originally owned the castle and its estate for over 300 years and is the reason it has maintained their name. As the family line died out the castle was purchased by a wealthy business man circa 1829. There is a long history associated with the castle along with notable dignitaries, celebrities and famous Irish families and as such it is a stunningly beautiful venue for a wedding ceremony both in the castle itself and equally in the fabulous gardens, in fact it enjoyed brief notoriety as the location for the wedding ceremony of Victoria and David Beckham.

Situated just 13km from Dublin city centre on over 260 acres it has played an integral role in Ireland’s history. Dating back to the 12th century the castle stayed in the Talbot family for over 800 years before being eventually purchased by the state in 1975. The ornamental gardens which lie adjacent to the castle occupy 22 acres of the land and are an ideal focal point for capturing wedding photography as is the walled garden.

Set deep in the landscape of Clooneenroe, Collooney in Sligo Markree Castle is an imposing site set within the Sligo countryside. The castle a historic monument to a bygone era was built circa 14th century and was given to the Cooper family following services in the Cromwellian rebellion and remained in the Cooper family for generations. The castle fell into disrepair but was purchased by the Corscadden family who own Ballyseede, Bellingham and Cabra Castle and who truly understand tasteful restoration. It reopened in March 2017 and it didn’t disappoint. Sumptuous decor, imposing architecture and ornamental gardens along with its very own oak panelled chapel built inside the castle sets it apart from others, a truly enchanting venue.
Set within a 1500 acre estate Slane castle is unlike any other castle to celebrate your special day. Tyrrellspass castle was built circa 14th century and is the only remaining castle of the Tyrrell family. Subject to invasion and warfare throughout its tumultuous past it was eventually bought and restored in the 1970’s. The castle today functions as a restaurant and is known for its medieval style banquets, this venue certainly is fit for royalty.
This castle is also highly recommended by the Wedding Band Association.
